Nobody’d ever believe it if there weren’t photos and a CD to prove it! In February 2001 ice sculptor Tim Linhart and luthier Tony Sutherland built two guitars, two cellos, and a bass fiddle out of ice at over 11,000 feet in the Taos Ski Valley, then musicians from all over the world came to New Mexico to perform on them! I can hardly believe it myself... one of the weirdest and greatest things I’ll probably ever do. Left-to-right: Roger Landes, Andy Salamone (recording engineer), and myself playing bottleneck slide on the ice guitar. Whoa, dude.
