This shot is of my dad at 19 years old with his first steel guitar. I still have it, in fact. It's an old Kalamazoo model, and Dad scraped that off and painted "Gibson" on it! It was stolen once and returned without the amp, stolen again and returned without the case. Then Dad gave it to my uncle Bud Stapp, and eventually Bud passed it back to Dad and me. I'm proud to have it.
